AGARTALA, April 18 (TIWN): The ruling party in Tripura )CPI-M) has protested against the one day strike called by opposition Congress on Monday.
In every subdivisions, CPI-M members held bike rally against the ‘band’.
However, allegations are coming CPI-M cadres had gone to their extremes, as in the presence of police also, they were knocking every shops to open and forcing the shop-keepers to re-open their shops.
In many places, violence took place but no major incident yet been reported.
It’s to be mentioned here that in the party-clashes the common people became the sufferer.
On the one hand Congress had challenged the ruling party to observed a full day strike but on the other hand Tripura Govt. had asked the Officers, Principals and Headmasters just to follow daily events and ignore the strike issue called by Congress.
However, the strike atlast got a mixed response with few violence.
