AGARTALA, April 18 (TIWN): Amra Bangali, a political party in Tripura has supported the 24 hour’s strike, called by Congress here.

Amra Bangali recently had asked for the resignation of Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and also asked to ban the whole left front party here as corruption has gone into extreme with the party’s long ruling here in Tripura since 22 years.

However, the picketers had been arrested by Tripura police as soon as their rally arrived till Shanitala, near Math Chowmuhani, Agartala.

Congress is observing a 24 hour’s strike in demand of Chief Minister’s resignation as according to Congress the Present CM was directly or indirectly was involved in former Health Minister Bimal Sinha’s murder for his own political gains.

Amra Bangali has however supported Congress in terms of view and purpose of the strike.
