CHURAIBARI, April 18 (TIWN): Choraibari CPI-M Youths organized a bike rally and allegedly forced to withdraw strike of 24-hour Tripura Bandh call given by the revolt ridden Congress on Monday.

Tough  opposition of the state government, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) has fully geared up to success the April 18 statewide bandh. While a fraction of Congress leaders has been trying hard to foil the bandh, PCC president Birajit Sinha has been leaving no stone unturned to success the bandh.

Earlier  Sinha said in its report, the Yusuf Commission has candidly raised finger at Chief Minister Manik Sarkar for his role. “Such act of a cabinet minister must not be encouraged and it is a duty of the Chief Minister to book into the activities of his ministers and to warn them strictly to remain aloof from such activities.

While addressing the rally, the PCC president strongly advocated for CBI probe into the assassination of Bimal Sinha to bring the killers and conspirators in the justice. “The Yusuf Commission has pointed out so many loopholes by the government leading to such a tragic incident. More so, three life-term convicted persons were acquitted by the High Court due to lack of evidence.

So, there must be re-investigation into the incident to ensure justice to the victim’s family”, he told. The state government today said the government office would remain open as usual on April 18 despite the bandh called by a political party. Action will be taken against those government employees who will remain absent on April 18.
