Dharmanagar, April 13 (TIWN): NH-44 which is the lifeline of the state has turned into pathetic condition and disrupting the vehicle movement due to terrible road conditions which often leading to tragic accidents, causing lives.

Most of the NH-44 turned into ‘accident prone zone’ where some portion of the roadside has collapsed due to mud slides occurring especially during the rainy season. 

Apart from that , common people are facing acute problems daily due to State PWD Dept's apathy to fix NH-44 since 2 years. 

Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy has inspected pathetic condition of NH-44 in person recently,also asked State PWD to repair roads on emergency basis.

Governor also spoke to Union Minister for Road and Transport communication for the renovation of the NH-44 Assam – Agartala National Highway.

Multiple scam ridden Tripura Govt yet to wake up from slumber and fix NH-44 for smooth vehicular movement.
