AGARTALA, April 10 (TIWN): Tripura State Committee of Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Academy on Sunday organized Dalit Sahitya Cultural Utsav at Sukanta Academy.
Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik unfurled the inaugural programme in the presence of other members in of the Academy.
It is to be mentioned here that Ambedkar was born on 14 April 1891 in the town and military cantonment of Mhow in the Central Provinces now in Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. B. R Ambedar was an Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who inspired the Modern Buddhist Movement and campaigned against social discrimination against Untouchables (Dalits).
He has supported the rights of women and labour and was an independent law minister and the principal architect of the Constitution of India.
Besides, a rally has also been organized and worked all across the city.
Baba Saheb Ambedkar, principal architect of the Indian Constitution, breathed his last on December 6, 1956. He was born on April 14, 1891 in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh.
However, He was Independent India's first law minister and the principal architect of the Constitution of India. He died in the year 1956 on December 6.
