AGARTALA, April 10 (TIWN): With the festive season round the corner, markets are crowded with people.

It is to be mentioned here that despite of year ending and the season of sale, prices of essential commodities are yet high. People waiting for the sale in the market has also turned upset as despite of sale in the market the cost of the commodities are yet high.

Hike in the price of the essential commodities is not a recent issue but despite of several hue and cry no initiatives are being taken by the ruling Government to bring the situation under control.

A glance at the price list at the provision store is enough to worry a person.

Even after prolonged several months of price hike of commodities in the market, the concern authority is least bothered about how the poor and the middle class families are managing their pockets.

However, one would think about the ensuing festive season and the worries would double as the monthly budget for a household is no more sufficient.

Prices of commodities including petrol and diesel has also increased in these few month has made the situation worst. The hike in the commodities has left the many households dry.

Therefore, it has become tough for the middle class families to cop up with the situation.

The hikes in the prices of vegetables have upset the budgets of middle and lower class families, particularly affecting those below the poverty line. The rise in prices of vegetables has created great dissatisfaction among the public.

However, despite of several tall claims by the authority till day no sign of decrease in the price of commodities has been observed rather it is increasing day by day.

People visiting the shops and markets of Tulsibati Bazaar, GB Bazaar, Battala market, Kamanchowmuhani fruit shop and others and massively hit with the price hike.

However, till day no initiatives have been taken to check the price hike in the market.
