AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN): Along with the world whereas the state is also celebrating the day with great enthusiasm, major referral hospital of Tripura GBP on Thursday is hit with water scarcity. According to the reports, the patients and the patient parties are helping themselves by carrying water with buckets from outside. Many patients are dependent on bottled water from the shop. The situation has become serious for the patients belonging to the poor family. However, it is hard for the poor patients to buy several liters of mineral water. It is to be mentioned here that the hospital which is a hub of several problems, water scarcity has added another badge to the hospital for providing poor service to the common mass. However, with the beginning of the summer GBP Hospital is suffering due to adequate scarcity of water supply. However, water scarcity is a recurring one, every time the situation haunts the common mass. Therefore, the authorities of the major referral hospital in the state in terms of number of patients treated, yet no constructive step has been taken so far to solve the issue.

Where the world is observing World Health Day, patient parties including hospital staff are carrying in buckets of water in the hospital to meet the need.

On the other hand, the hospital also suffering from various other problems as well. Lack of bed, no proper health service and medical service also hits the hospital.

However, one will be surprised to know that in GBP Hospital, thousands of patients and their relatives suffer from lack of pure drinking water.

On the other hand, the patients also do not get bed service as the hospital lacks bed.

However, with the rapid expansion of population and shortages of healthcare facilities in government hospitals forces the people to visit the private Hospital and spend huge amount of money.

World Health Day is observed to ensure prevention and proper treatment to the mass. It seems like the assurance for proper treatment in the Government hospitals are far behind.

Even though there are many government hospitals which are providing health services to the populace, the services rendered is inadequate in terms of quantity and quality.

Government hospitals lack good infrastructure, proper management, and dedicated staff including inadequate drinking water facility. Besides, many hospitals lack sufficient beds for the patient. Due to paucity of adequate space, patients on stretchers can be seen lined up on both sides of the corridors.
