KAMALPUR, April 7 (TIWN): When a leader used to receive state-wise homage every year then another contemporary leader almost got forgotten within the span of one year after his demise. And the matter happened in the case of the CPI-M party, which used to remember their leaders and prominent workers as per party calendar. But the mysterious and unbelievable fate occurred to the deceased MLA Sudhir Das, here at Kamalpur.

Mr. Das, who remained the undefeated MLA from the Surma Assembly constituency during his life time died on 7th February, 2015. It got hoped that, the party would commemorate him with due regards. But mysteriously enough, the party failed to commemorate the leader who once toiled hard to lift up the cause of the party in the sub-division.

According to the sources closed to the Kamalpur Sub-divisional Committee of CPI-M, Sudhir Das remained to be the arch-rival of the present Sub-divisional Secretary cum MLA Anajan Das. And their rivalry became an open secret to all. The narrow factionalism made the two leaders to be the protagonists. And now, as Anjan became the all in all in the party, so he not showed any interest in commemorating the deceased MLA on his first death anniversary. So, no program was observed anywhere in the sub-division. But, would it be the trend of the CPI-M’s politics and policies in near future, remained the matter to be seen.
