AGARTALA, April 6 (TIWN): Tripura state committee of Amra Bangali party on Wednesday placed deputation to Governor Tathagata Roy demanding to expel the Left front party from the state in allegation of involvement in the murder of former Health Minister Bimal Sinha.

However, the party also staged protest rally from college rod which walked several parts of the streets. The party raised slogans against the corrupt rule by CPI-M in the state and demanded to expel the party for their involvement in the Bimal sinha murder case stated in Yusuf commission report.

After a total of 18 years of duration, the Tripura Law minister Tapan Chakraborty placed the much controversial Yusuf commission report on the 3rd day of Tripura budget session at the civil secretariat.

Following a writ petition filed by a senior advocate Kalyani Roy in the Tripura High Court, the court recently ordered the government to publish the report immediately and the government stated in court that the report would be tabled in the budget session of the assembly.

However, as per the orders from the HC the Tripura government has finally published the Yusuf Commission report after 18years.

The Yusuf commission being constituted by the state Left front government under the pressure of the opposition party had submitted the report on Bimal Sinha murder case during the year 2000, but the government had so far failed to publish the report.

It is to be mentioned here that the Yusuf Commission report revealed that the then state health minister Bimal Sinha had hand with the extremist and his relationship with the extremist has lead to his death.

Sinha was assassinated due to his close link with the banned insurgent outfit National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), stated the report.

However, opposition has alleged that CM Manik Sarkar has direct involvement in the murder of former health minister Bimal sinha.

Demanding to expel the left front party from the state the members of Amra Bangali party placed deputation to Governor Tathagata Roy.

The party further demanded to start investigation by SC judge into 1980 murder case.

However, placing the deputation the party also urged to take immediate action to fulfil their demands.
