AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): In a major breakthrough, Tripura police on Thursday arrested a 17-year old boy accused of murdering a truck driver in FCI warehouse on March 17 at Nandan Nagar.
According to the reports, the accused has been identified Mukesh Reang. He is being arrested from Pecharthal.
Police has arrested Mukesh Reang suspecting him to be engaged with the murder case at FCI warehouse.
It is to be mentioned here that the incident of suspected murder took place on Thursday night. The deceased individual has been identified as a resident of Pecharthal.
According to the police source, it has been suspected that the incident took place after the deceased driver has parked the rice full truck in to the FCI warehouse on Nandan Nagar.
The body of the man has been recovered from the driver seat of the truck bearing registration number AS01-DD-5057.
Getting alarm about the incident police personnel of GB Out-Post rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The police later seized the truck. Besides, the owner of the truck Gopal Chandra Roy, resident of Barjala TRTC visited the police station claiming that he does not know anything.
Sources further mentioned that there were injuries on the head of the deceased and left ear.
However, investigation is going on to arrest the culprit. Police suspects it to be a murder case.
The incident took place after the driver has parked the 12 wheels truck.
It is to be mentioned here that despite of taking several initiatives to curb down the rising crime in the state day by day rate of crime is rising high.
It appears that the duty of police is so far limited to report the murder case and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Apart from taking any strict action police is busy in making tall claims in front of the public and fool people around.
