AGARTALA, March 23 (TIWN) : Atleast 2 TSR jawans and 1 officer have been suspended temporarily, in allegation of negligence in their duties, which lead the murder incident at Durjaynagar. They are : Arun Das, Abhijit Deb and Rajit Dutta, among them Abhijt Deb was in charge of dealing with arms.

According to  the authority, these 3 didn’t do their job properly, as a result the TSR Minal Das could came out with weapons to kill his lover Tanusree Karmakar.

But question arises,  the actions(suspension of Jawans) which are taken later after the tragic incident can decrease the crime rate in the state?

Tripura is a small state, but provided with police force, BSF and also women police force, but the Home-Minister cum Chief Minister is unable to take a control over the increasing crime rates here.

It’s to be mentioned here that on the one hand the whole state is celebrating holi but on the other hand there are 2 families which are devastated being residents of a state, which has failed to provide security to its people.

During the assembly time also Chief Minister while answering the question, raised by oppositions about the Durjoynagar incident, he couldn’t answer properly.

He rather sidelined the issue by saying that investigation will be conducted in this regard.

But CM didn’t say about what actions will be taken in various camps, including police stations, so that such an unwanted incident will not be repeated in state.

According to the reports, on March 21 late night the TSR Jawan named Mrinal Das killed his lover Tanushee Karmakar with service gun. Hearing the sound of firing, police rushed to spot, however, they couldn’t enter for four hours as continuous firing sound was coming out of the house. However, police took an initiative after wearing bullet proof jackets and finally entered the house, but unfortunately deadbodies lying in pool of blood.

Question erupts about the police force’s dedication for the safety of people, who are however paying very low here along with other state govt. employees
