TELIAMURA / AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN) : It has been almost 2 years that the only x-ray machine was damaged at Kalynapur Hospital, under Teliamura subdivision of Khowai Dist. But due to the negligence of the Hospital authority, no initiative is being taken yet now, and as a result the local people are suffering heavily being deprived of the basic health facilities.

Around 54,000 people are residing in that area, but due to the problem of the x-ray machine locals have to go to other places for treatment.

Now question arises, whereas the govt. is paying for x-ray machine workers and its repairing, then why no step is yet taken so that the patients get full facility at there.

Negligence of the health dept.  is alleged here by the locals. However it’s worthy to mention here that in almost all the govt. hospitals of Tripura, the services are very poor and patients are suffering from various causes for which the negligence attitude of the govt. is responsible.

However, many times deputations were also given by the locals, including farmers and labours.

Talking to the doctor Sutapa Das, she said, “I do not know anything about this”. Question arises, if anything is not working in a hospital then who will take the responsibility? Govt.? Doctors? Doct. in-charge?

At hospital people have been engaged to repair the machinery items, but then the machine has been left in damaged condition?

Resentment has been brewed among the locals due to the condition of machine.
