AGARTALA/ UDAIPUR, March 20 (TIWN): One yet another bizarre incident, a minor child of eight years was raped by a minor boy of 16-year of age on Sunday.

Reportedly, the incident took place at Bhangerpar area of Khilpara under Udaipur police station.

According to the police report, the raped victim gas been identified as a student of Class-2. Besides, the accused has been arrested.

It seems like the rape cases has become a daily feed for the newspapers and media channels. This is not one or among few cases of minor rape. The minors are becoming victim of this heinous crime frequently.

State Government where showing so much interest towards education, tourism and many other issue, at the same time they must take some initiatives to save the minors from becoming the victim of this heinous crime.

It is to be mentioned here that not only minor’s even middle aged women are severe hit with various kind of violence.

Ruling party where claims about development and crime free Tripura, at the same time girls and women are being victimised in the male dominated society. It seems like even in the broad day light also women are not safe.

In the 21st century where women are equally participating in every sector in the male dominated society, in the mean time, under Manik’s regime women are being victimized in the male dominated society.

However, while addressing any women oriented programmes like women’s day and others, the Ministerial authority never get tired to claims about giving respect to the women, whereas in reality it seems like the ruling Government is least bothered to curb down the crime against women.

Although the State Government has installed several women police station as a part of safety measure for the women.

Now the question arises that is it enough to curb the crime against women by just installing few women police station?

Day by day crime against women are rising, several cases are being registered but what about curbing it down and strict action against the culprit.
