AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): When the crimes against women, especially domestic violence had already taken a top most position in Tripura, the tall claims of Tripura commission for women has already turned bleak. It seems all the claims have fall down in front of the increasing rate of crimes against women in Tripura.

Day after day the crime is rising high and TCW is least bothered to take any action against the accused criminals.

In a bizarre incident a 23 year old housewife was allegedly murdered by her husband on Saturday morning at kalabagabn area of salbagan under NCC police station.

The deceased housewife is identified as Raktima Das. Reportedly, Raktima das was allegedly beaten to death by her husband Rajeshwar Das on Saturday morning. Getting alarm the family members of Raktima Das went the spot and raised allegation   that her husband Rajeshwar Das has killed his wife and is now absconding from the spot.

Getting alarm police with its crew reached the spot and has started investigation into the case. However, the accused husband is absconding from the spot and is further investigating the case.

Reports of crimes against women in Tripura such as rape, dowry deaths, abduction and molestation have increased.

Recently many such cases had already come under limelight where the police are still on a sleep and the accused are making a free movement.

Apart from all other crimes imposed on the women, today the women are becoming the victim of domestic violence at large.  Domestic violence against women is an age old phenomenon. Women were always considered weak, vulnerable and in a position to be exploited. Violence has long been accepted as something that happens to women. Cultural mores, religious practices, economic and political conditions may set the precedence for initiating and perpetuating domestic violence, but ultimately committing an act of violence is a choice that the individual makes out of a range of options.

In-laws torturing bride, bride-burning, rape, molestation, violence against children has become an everyday issue in the city, but TCW is not taking any strict action against the accused. They are not much bothered to solve any case and providing justice to the victim.
