AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): Despite of taking several initiatives to curb down the rising incidence of accidents, day after day accident cases are getting rampant.

Tripura police on Saturday morning recovered a truck in upside down position from Bridhya Nagar under Ranir Bazaar Police station. According to the police report, the incident took place after the drive lost his balance over the vehicle.

The incident took place on Friday midnight at Bridhya Nagar under Ranir Bazaar Police station after the truck driver has lost its balance.

According to the police report, the driver was heading towards the state from Guwahati with loaded tyres.

The driver lost his control over the truck and the six-Tyre turned upside down.

However, despite of keeping strict vigilance to curb down the incidents of accidents day by day cases of accidents are rising.

If the defensive and disciplined driving and following traffic and Motor Vehicle rules could have been followed during driving than the untoward incidents would not have occurred.

Besides, it may have allegedly occurred due to lack of street lights and misuse of high beam in head lights.

As negligence in the traffic rules and lack of lights and reflectors contribute to road accidents in the night.

According to some locals, the traffic rules must be strengthened and more officials must be deployed in the major parts of the roads. As there are drivers who break the traffic rules while they cross the traffic zone of the capital as there is no strict vigilance in the roads of the interior.

On the other hand, the drivers of the heavy vehicles carry over loaded the vehicle and therefore, getting misbalanced the vehicles meets with road accident.

Teach and train people and the school children should be sensitised, they must be given proper education on road usage and when they grow up and start driving they would be good road users, stated the locals.
