UDAIPUR, March 19 (TIWN): Udaipur Municipal Council Chairperson today inaugurated the 2 day long 2nd Gomati District Annual Conference of Tripura Journalist Union in the conference hall of Gomati Zila Parishad. Union's Gomati District Committee Dilip Datta gave away the Welcome address.

On the first day a seminar on " News and Journalism" was organized which was attended by the teachers, students of 12 schools of Udaipur and journalists from Sabroom, Belonia, Bishramganj, Sonamura, Bishalgarh and Agartala. 
 Among others who remained present on this occasion are Editor of Sandyan Patrika  Subal Dey, MD of Ajker Fariad Sanit Debroy, national award winner IANS journalist Sujit Chakrabroty, Editor of Ajkal Tripura Samir Dhar and senior journalist Sanjib Dey. Tripura Journalist Union's State Secretary Pranab Sarkar presided on this occasion. 
  Speaking on this occasion Subal Dey said," At present the journalists in Tripura are working in a very bad condition but time will change and journalism will have a bright future in the state. " MD of Ajker Fariad Sanit Debroy said," Journalists in Tripura are fighting against interferences of rulers and still they are not afraid of it. However, press media will continue its relentless battle against the exploiters in whatever way it can ."
