AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): Manik’s blue eyed boy Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar is once again under the scanner after tainted Ayyangar himself admitted that there is 5% above or approx 30,000 thousand FAKE job-card existing in the ‘golden era’. Corruption tainted Tripura is yet again under the scanner after embezzlement was reported from the Rural Development (RD) Department.It is to be mentioned here that recently reports were received by the Rural Department that still there are some fake job cards conforming round 5 percent of job card holders.These job cards need to be phased out, requires deletion maintaining the validity of card. However for doing this a door to door survey have to be carried out regarding the information related to Job card, ADHAAR card, bank account number. Implementation of MGNREGA, the flagship employment guarantee and poverty alleviation scheme introduced by the UPA, is replete with instances of ghost workers, fake job cards, non-existent schemes and siphoning-off public fund in fraudulent manner in Tripura.The silence of the government over resolving the issue of "fake" job cards in MGNREGA is questioned and pitched for conducting random inspection.

 These 30,000 fake MGNREGA workers loting crores of Govt money since decades, which needless to say being pocketed by ruling party machinery.

So called golden era in Tripura is again under the scanner of corruption and recent serious embezzlement of money from MGNREGA with the involvement of Principal Secretary Ayyanagar.

It is alleged that, the duo including Director Deba Prasad sarkar and Principal Secretary GSG Ayyengar is accused of involvement in the deep hand corruption has embezzled crores of money in the name of buying Microbiological fertilizers for the department.

It is to be mentioned here that Agricultural production has simply broken down. It has become impossible to meet the agricultural sufficiency in the state.  Alleging the shortage of extension staff in field due to the season bound activities from the district level to the gram panchayat level Ayyangar has made a clean sweep from his involvement in the corruption leading to lack of sufficient agricultural production.

It is to be mentioned here that, many newspapers have reported about his involvements in different corruptions which was going round the corner. During his earlier deputation term on inter-cadre deputation, Dr. Ayyangar, was repatriated to the state over his alleged involved in the timers scandal, which rocked the municipal administration department of Hyderabad.

The alleged corruption took place while Dr. Ayyangar was working as director, personnel and administration, Singareni Collieries Company Limited.  Dr. GSG was in the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad and was reportedly responsible for purchasing the timers used for street lights at an exorbitant price compared to market rates.

Apart the Vigilance & Enforcement (V&E) probe into the timer scandal has nailed four IAS officers including G S G Ayyangar

The probe was initiated after the government ordered an inquiry into the purchase of 7,002 timer devices at an exorbitant price of Rs 8.12 crore by the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad.

The V&E has in its report has also recommended booking criminal cases against Ayyangar.

Nationally tainted GSG Ayyangar now is the right hand man of Manik Sarkar and set to become next Chief Secretary of Tripura.
