Sensitive Yusuf Commission report , which is scheduled to be tabled on the last day of budget session, suddenly erupted a controversy on Friday at the Assembly after the report was made public in a vernacular daily of the state. During the budget session, Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman raised question about how the report was made public via a vernacular daily. Addressing to the question, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar replied that the matter will be given proper attention, it will be checked whether the report has any authenticity or not. Sarkar further said that the matter is related to Law department, and the concerned department will look into the matter. However, Opposition leader further said to disclose the report by 22 or 23rd March during the budget session. Opposition is likely to nail the treasury bench on the Yusuf Commission report which was constituted to carry out judicial prove on the assassination of the then Health Minister Bimal Sinha in his hometown- Kamalpur. Accordingly, the Yusuf commission report will be disclosed during the budget session as in the last hearing, government side lawyer has appealed to the court that they will publish the Yusuf commission report and action taken report during the budget session.

However, the legal documentation of the file is underway as the government will produce both the action taken report as well as the Yusuf commission report in this budget session.

It appears from the scenario that state government will intentionally keep on dragging the issue in the name of asking time as the report is expected to dig out the hidden facts behind the murder case.

In previous hearing the HC has asked government to place the report by February 29 after PIL was filed. The report was placed before the division bench of Chief Justice Deepak and Justice Subhasis Talapatra but once again the date for publication is being delayed until next assembly session.

Reportedly, earlier Government demanded four weeks of time for placing the report but court has extended it to 6 weeks and has set the deadline till February 29 covering a total duration of six weeks and again the PP has asked for time till next budget session.

Tripura High Court (HC) given the last date to publish the yusuf commission report on the then state health minister Bimal Sinha murder case by February 29 but the state government once again delayed it by few more months.

Apart from placing a full-fledged Budget for 2016-17 FY; the government will also table the report of the Yusuf Commission in the upcoming session.
