AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): Although the DA of the State Government has been increased by 5 percent, it seems like the additional is amount is nothing in front of the frequent price hike in the commodities.

Day by day with the frequent hike in the price of the commodities has left the common mass with option rather than to deduct the list of commodities from their daily budget. The frequent price hike is mostly becoming headache for the middle class and poor families.

Just when increase in DA has been announced the price of the petrol got hiked. Besides, the Government has increased more Rs. 6 on the price of the sugar. Now, the Sugar available at the ration shop will be of Rs. 22.

On the other hand, the prices of the vegetables in the market are also not taking the name of shrink down.  Day by day the rates of the commodities are increasing in sky rocketing price.

It is to be mentioned here that compare to the frequent increase in the price of the commodities, the salaries for the State Government employees are very less.

Despite of knowing all the facts and the problems faced by the common mass of the state, the authority seems least bothered.

It is to be mentioned here that Oil marketing companies on Wednesday increased the prices of petrol by Rs 3.07 per litre while it hiked the prices of diesel by Rs 1.90.

On one hand where that State is hit with prolonged crisis of diesel, on the other hand, the increases in the price of the petrol and diesel has brought severe problem for the people.

It may not have affected much of the elite class people but the middle class and poor people are severely hit with the frequent price hike.

However, State Government should have put keen eye over the issue of the price hike in the state so that the common mass could get some relief from the price hike.
