AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): Several days have been passed yet the sign of ‘No Petrol/ diesel’ continues to picture in front of the various petrol pumps across the State.

From the capital of the State to everywhere, most of the petrol pumps have no fuel. Besides, the one which have some stock of fuel, number of vehicles are queued up.

It seems like the consumers of the State are yet to get relief from the prolonged petrol crisis. According to the sources, the prolonged fuel crisis hits the petrol pumps due to the dilapidated condition of the National Highway.

It is to be mentioned here that the acute petrol crisis in the State is not a recent issue. Despite of knowing the facts that the common mass are facing trouble due to the prolonged petrol crises in the State, the concern authority is yet in yawning siesta.

The prolonged petrol crises in the State have hampered the regular movement of vehicles in the city as well as in the sub-division with number of vehicle owners queuing up at the petrol pumps in the area.

It is to be mentioned here that taking advantage of the situation the petrol dealers of the State were emerging in a new trend to earn more money through black marketing which causes artificial petrol crisis in the State.

Allegation has been raised that due to the suspension of the railway services in the state for the ongoing work of the broad gauge, the import of fuel tankers are facing harsh time.

On the other hand, the poor condition of the National Highway has also been blamed as the reason behind the prolonged hue and cry for the petrol and diesel in the State.

Taking advantage of the situation, the black marketers of petrol are selling per litre at Rs. 150 to 200. Getting no other option, being bound with the petrol crisis consumers are buying fuels from black marketers.

On one hand where the price hike in all the essential commodities in the State has hit the monthly budget of the common mass mostly the middle class and poor people, the fuel crisis has left the mass in dilemma.

It is to be mentioned here where the ruling Government announces about the agenda of the party and promises to stand beside the common mass and to create better communication with the common mass, it seems like in the time of inflation and crisis the same Government is turning blind.
