Though additional 13 trucks of LPG cylinder are being imported on daily basis from Silchar and 22 to 23 truck of cylinder are getting refilled daily, it will take time to meet the backlog.

Stressing over the backlog issue, the official said that due to some problem in the bulk this situation has occurred.

However, the refill process has started in full-fledged manner with 22 to 23 trucks of cylinder refilled every day.

On the other hand, he assured that if the bullets reach the state on regular basis then it is possible that the backlog are being meet soon.

Further, he stated that it is unpredictable about the bullet to reach to the state. He said that due to the poor condition of the National Highway many a time the bullets gets delay to reach the state. Therefore, the workers are unable to meet the target of the days.

Besides, he mentioned that everything is depended on the bullet.

On the other hand to meet the need of the LPG cylinder in the State Indian Oil Corporation is going to establish a mega gas bottling plant at Budhjungnagar Industrial Estate in Jirania subdivision.

However, it seems the problem is likely to end with the establishment of the bottling plant at Budhjungnagar.

However, LPG cooking Gas crisis has worsened across the state, forcing the domestic users to hit the streets protesting against the acute shortage of LPG cooking gas cylinders.

Consumers in Agartala are severely hit by the shortage of Liquid Petroleum gas (LPG) cooking gas cylinders over past many days.  As a result, black marketing is on the rise, with consumers forced to buy cylinders at prices ranging between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000 a piece.
