State BJP pitched voice against sugar price hike, staged massive protest rally across the capital

AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): As a part of the state wide protest, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit in Tripura once again pitched voice in Agartala on Monday against the state government's recent decision of hiking price by Rs. 6 for kilogram of sugar distributed through public distribution system (PDS).

Pitching their slogans high the protestors said that the state government is anti-poor and the hike in sugar price is totally unjustified since there has been no increase in sugar price in the market.
As BJP earlier gave 48 hours ultimatum to the state government for the rollback so they have gone for state-wide protest against this.

Raising voice against the price hike, BJP hold rally and walked across several part of the city and demanded to lessen the price of sugar.

Reportedly, BJP earlier also raised voice against the sudden price hike of Sugar by Rs 6 has staged protest in front of the food and civil supplies office at Gurkhabasti. However, the representative team of the state BJP also placed deputation to Food director and demanded to lessen the price of the sugar.

It is to be mentioned here that State Government announced about the increase in the price of sugar by Rs. 6 in every kilogram of buy from the ration.

However, the hiked price will be implemented from April 1.

It is to be mentioned here that the sudden price hike has posed a threat to the common people. 

City residents have been again hit by inflation because the price of sugar has been increased by Rs 6 per kg in the ration here.

Families from the middle- and lower-income groups have been affected most by this hike. The increase in the price of sugar has come suddenly giving a tough time to the common people.

The common mass where hit with the price hike of the vegetables and other commodities, the hike in the sugar price may trigger resentment among the common mass.

Reportedly, recently the prices of the commodities in the markets are so high that the common mass had to cut down their pockets.

The hike on the price of sugar and the essential commodities has upsets the budget of the middle class families mainly the poor and needy people.

It seems like day by the price of the commodities are increasing in sky rocketing price. However, the issue of price hike is continuing for prolonged many years yet no initiatives are taken to control the rising price of commodities.  However, despite of serious price hike over the commodities in the State, allegation has been raised that the State Government is least bother to take action against it.
