TGEA demanded for express train in Agartala

AGARTALA, March 12 (TIWN): Tripura Government Employee Association on Saturday organized 15th biennial conference at Power Building.

During the programme, the members has discussed about the domestic violence, dowry and crime against woman and to curb the crime against women.

Besides, to ensure peace and security in the State, the members of the association discussed on several points.

Speaking at the 15th biennial conference of Tripura Government Employee Association, the members demanded to cancel the PFROA Act and to make the Defined Benefit Pension Scheme effective.

Besides, the members have also urged to curb down the rising inflation in the state along with regularising fertilizers, seed, pesticides and other essential things for the farmers.

Further, they have urged to announce for express trains from Agartala – Delhi, Agartala- Chennai and Mumbai, to start full-fledged work of four lane road of National Highway from Dhramanagar to Sabroom, to immediately start work for alternative national highway from Sabroom to Kukilong, Assam.

Besides, the association also demanded to provide 35 kilogram rice at Rs. 2 per Kilogram to all the families and to provide at least 14 subsidised items in the ration. The central government should provide 200 days work to the workers under MGN-REGA with daily wage of Rs. 200.

However, many other demands has been placed by the association in the 35th biennial conference.
