Fencing work at Shilpara under Kailashahar sub-division is almost complete, confirms Kailashahar SDM

AGARTALA, March 11 (TIWN): In order to avoid illegal intrusion through the border area of Shilpara under Kailashahar sub-division, fencing is completed but only the side bars are left out, confirms Kailashahar SDM. Talking to TIWN correspondent, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Kailashahar mentioned that the fencing work is almost done and within few days the whole work will be finished. Speaking about the details of the work progress, he further mentioned that the work is going on in full-fledged manner to meet the deadline. It is to be mentioned here that the construction of the fence is a prolonged demands of the locals residing in the area. With the completion of the fencing, dreams of the residence will come true. Besides, they will also get relief from the rampant smuggling of cows and other essential items at that area.

Reportedly, when there was no fencing in that area, people were massively hit with smuggling and theft incidents. 

There was a time when the miscreants use to smuggle three to four time in month and some time even more.It is to be mentioned here that 485 metre of border area of Kailashahar sub-division was left without fencing. Now fencing is almost done, however only the side bars are left and that will also complete soon, stated Kailashahar SDM.

It is to be mentioned here that the fencing work at Kailashahar has faced several problems in the beginning. At first, the locals has obstructed in the work as they were not provided with any land acquisition notice.

After the locals have withdrawn the obligation, the BGB has obstructed over some issue. Therefore, it got delayed.

However, with the commencement of the work the locals expressed happiness. They are expected that the rampant smuggling is going to curb down.
