AGARTALA, March 11 (TIWN): Although the poor bank service in the State has been continuing for prolonged many years due to poor internet connectivity, yet the authority could hardly manage time to look in to the matter.

Every time the consumer visits the bank either they had to wait in long queue due to late work process or else they had to wait until the computers of the bank are connected with the internet link.

Reportedly, allegation has been raised that on Thursday bank service got disrupted after a machine went out of order in a SBI bank of Mathchowmuhani.

However, this issue is not new in the state most of the time the bank service gets disrupts either due to internet service or non-function of any machine. Therefore, the common mass had to pay for it by wasting their time.

Resentment brews among the consumers over issue. It has been observed that most of the time the bank staffs halt in progress of work saying there is no internet link and announces that either the consumers can wait for the link to connect or else they can leave for the day.

Consumers visits the bank taking time from their work and if on that day their works at bank are not done then their day gets waste.

However, the prolonged poor internet service in the State has hits the consumers massively. Yet the service remains unchecked in the state.

It is to be mentioned here that Bangladesh is expected to provide 10 GB Internet bandwidth to India on March 23. According to the reports there would not be any kind of formal functioning to mark the occasion in the state as the entire inaugural programme will be through video conferencing.

Now, the question arises will the prolong problem in the state’s banking service is going to be over or not.

However, the International gateway for the broadband connectivity is expected to set up at Agartala. According to the agreement Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company limited and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Bangladesh is expected to provide 10 GB Internet bandwidth to India.

Once the internet bandwidth is inaugurated, Agartala, Tripura's capital city, would be the third international internet gateway in India after Mumbai and Chennai.

The agreement is initially signed for four years and India will gain 10 Gbps (gigabits per second) bandwidth in the first year with a provision for this to go up to 40 Gbps per second in the subsequent years.

However, with the inauguration of the Internet Bandwidth the prolonged problems faced by the common mass of the State are likely to get over.
