Gandacherra assault case: INTTUC, Tripura state committee demands for strict action

AGARTALA, March 10 (TIWN): INTTUC, Tripura state committee on Thursday urged Inspector General of Police to discuss about the Gandacharra incident of loot and assault against a woman.

Reportedly, Tripura state committee of Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress on Thursday visited Inspector General of Police and urged for allowing date and time to discuss about the incident of 3-3-2016.

It is to be mentioned here that earlier also the INTTUC, Tripura state committee has demanded justice for the middle aged women identified as Sati Rani Roy who was exploited in a broad day light at Gandacharra for allegedly supporting Trinamool congress.

According to the reports, the victim has been identified as Sati Rani Roy. The resident of Gandacharra has been allegedly brutally beaten by three miscreants.

The miscreants have been identified as Sapna Debnath, Siju Debnath and Raju Debnath.

Allegation has been raised that the miscreants has molested the woman and forcefully looted huge amount of cash and jewellery from her shop as she support the party Trinamool Congress.

However, the prime accused has been identifies as Raju Debnath who has committed the crime in the broad day light.

Therefore, the INTTUC, Tripura state committee is urging for strict action against the culprit and also urges for allowing a date to discuss about the matter.

It is to be mentioned here that the All India Trinamool Congress is an Indian regional political party based in West Bengal. The party was formed in the year 1998 on January 1. The party was founded as a breakaway faction of the Indian National Congress; the party is led by its founder and current Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee.

Prior to the 2014 general election it was the sixth largest party in the Lok Sabha with 19 seats; following that election, it is currently the fourth largest party in the Lok Sabha with 34 seats.
