AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): A total of 41 students have appeared for the All India Bar Examination 2016 at the Tripura High Court on Sunday.

According to the official report, the exam has been conducted peacefully no issue of any untoward incident has been reported from the exam spot.

Besides, speaking about the details it has been mentioned that altogether 17 female and 24 male has appeared for the examination. Among them one is from Delhi.

However the exam continued for 3 hours.

It is to be mentioned here that the main objectives of the All India Bar Examination is to examine the capability of the pass out students who are interested to practice this profession of law in India.

However, AIBE will assess skills at a basic level, and is intended to set a minimum benchmark for admission to the practice of law.

The notification bringing the All India Bar Examination into force was passed by the Legal Education Committee and the members of the Bar Council of India at duly constituted meetings on April 10, 2010 and April 30, 2010.

It has been mentioned that the exam check out the analytical abilities of the student and understanding of basic knowledge of law.

After passing the examination candidate will be awarded Certificate of Practice by the Bar Council of India.

During the exam, candidates have to answer questions from twenty subjects. The subjects are taken from the syllabi prescribed by the Bar Council of India for the three-year and five-year L.L.B. programmes at law schools in India.

It is to be mentioned here that the AIBE has been made compulsory for all law students passing out.

A person who has enrolled himself/herself as an advocate under Section 24 of the Advocates Act, 1961 can only sit for the exam.

The examination is conducted in nine languages, namely Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Oriya and English.

However, this is the 9th All India Bar Exam conducted in Tripura.
