AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): Tripura Land Workers Union on Saturday announced to call for continuous protest in the month of March with 12 point charter of demands.
In après conference at Melarmath, it has been mentioned that protesting against the budget of 2016 which is against the benefits of the farmers and labour of the nation rally and meeting are going to be organized on March 7.
Besides, it has also been mentioned that from 21-30 March of 2016, block based mass deputation must be organized by the Tripura Khet Mazdoor Union (Tripura Land Workers Union). Further, the deputations should be fax to Prime Minister and Finance Minister.
It is to be mentioned here that the 12 points charter of demands includes recall Public anti-land acquisition bill 2015. It is said that the union is going to protest against bill in the State where the bill is active and also the state where initiatives are going on to pass the bill.
The demand includes that the farmers and labours should be provided with pension of Rs. 3000, to protect the farming land from the hand of mafia, corporate organization and others, to ensure 250 days of work under MGNREGA with daily pay of Rs. 300, to provide loan without interest to the poor farmers, agricultural labour and for other farmers the interest should b for 8 percent.
Besides, it has been mentioned that the farmers who have committed suicide their families should be provided with Rs. 10 lakh, to stop torturing the dalit, tribal women in the country and various other demands were mentioned at the programme.
However, it has been mentioned that the union is going the carry out the protest against the land Acquisition Bill from the month of March and it will continue till the month of April.
