AGARTALA, Feb 29 (TIWN): Aiming to rejuvenate the grip of the Trinamool congress in the state, the Trinamool congress on Mondayhold a mass rally at Agartala followed by the gathering at Orient Chowmuhani.

Raising voice against price hike, crime against women, unemployment, corruption, the Trinamool congress on Monday hold rally which moved across several parts of the city.

However, councillor of Trinamool congress from West Bengal and Secretary Ashok Mukherjee remained present in the program.

Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress is a trade union organisation of India politically associated with All India Trinamool Congress.

Tripura Trinamool Congress supporters conducted a protest rally against the Centre and state government in Agartala, here today. The rally started from the Orient chowmuhani and traversed different city roads.

During the protest, Trinamool Congress leaders raised voice over the issues including unhygienic fare-hike, unavailability and fare hike of gas cylinders, unsuccessful state government’s role in prevention of disease outbreak in the state,  

The All India Trinamool is an Indian regional political party based in West Bengal. Founded on 1 January 1998 as a breakaway faction of the Indian National Congress, the party is led by its founder and current Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee. Prior to the 2014 general election it was the sixth largest party in the Lok Sabha with 19 seats; following that election, it is currently the fourth largest party in the Lok Sabha with 34 seats.

On 18 September 2012, TMC Chief, Mamata Banerjee, announced her decision to withdraw support to the UPA after the TMC's demands to undo government-instituted changes including FDI in retail, increase in the price of diesel and limiting the number of subsidised cooking gas cylinders for households, were not met.
