Uncertainty hits the continuous supply of LPG gas, says official of Food Department

AGARTALA, Feb 29 (TIWN): Bishalgarh bottling plant has been trying to refill as much as LPG cylinders on a regular basis but it is unable to meet the demand of the state due to the continuous backlog since past many months.

Talking to TIWN correspondent, Official of Food Department stated that although the plant is trying to refill as much a LPG cylinder possible but it is unable to meet the demand.

Though after turmoil the plant has started re bottling but as there is no fluency crisis is tend to continue in the state.

Aiming to meet the needs of the people of the State, Bishalgarh bottling plant has been trying to refill as much as LPG cylinders.

Besides, he also mentioned that the plant has been trying to refill atleast 20 trucks of LPG cylinder by Monday.

LPG cylinder may continue as the pipe line and the bullet position is not well leading to the irregularities. It seems that the hue and cry among the consumers may continue in the State till the pipes and the bullets are renovated.

It is to be mentioned here that few days back due to some issue among the workers but from recently the bottling has started in full fledged manner.

Altogether 19 trucks of LPG cylinder have been supplied and by Monday it has increased by one more truck.

However, to meet the need of the State’s public of 12 LPG cylinders in a year a boost is required which can be fulfilled after the establishment of the new gas bottling plant.

Besides, IOC is planning to install an oil depot at Shekerkut. On the other hand, earlier the State Government has demanded to IOC to provide 24 wagons.

On the other hand, despite of the introduction of the modified direct benefit transfer scheme for LPG with an aim to curb down the rampant black marketing of cooking gas, black marketers are yet continuing with their illicit crime.

Acute crisis of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder is still continuing in Tripura, triggering huge backlog. The total number gas agencies are being increased to 46 while the main gas bottling plant in Bishalghar is unable to cope with the ongoing cylinder demands. Such at situation, the rampant black marketing of LPG cylinders have gripped the state alarmingly.
