AGARTALA, Feb 28 (TIWN): Congress where claimed that Railway service in Tripura is possible only for the initiatives taken by the UPA Government, whereas it is to be mentioned here that it is NDA led BJP Government who took the effort to complete the BG conversion work on time and facilitated the people with the BG Railway service. Talking to TIWN correspondent on Saturday, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Birajit Sinha stated that it is the initiative of the Congress due to which the common masses of Tripura are enjoying the facility of railway service. Now the question arises, where PCC President confidently took the credit of installation of the Broad Gauge service in Tripura, why the UPA led Congress party could not make the BG service possible in the 30 years. Why it has become possible under the regime of Modi’s Government. Where was the confidence of bringing the BG railway service in Tripura during the 30-year of Congress Regime. Why it has been possible only during the Governance of NDA led BJP Government? Besides, PCC President where claimed that it was the UPA Government who took the initiative to start railway service at Dharmanagar and Kumarghat.

Now, here again a question arises that if the UPA Government could have started there than why it took so many year to set up a meter gauge train service in Tripura.

It is to be mentioned here that only Tripura was lacking behind of any BG service where all the states have already set the BG track long back, Agartala in the year 2016 under the regime of NDA Government managed to find a place in the Railway map of the Country.

Besides, it is to be mentioned that Modi’s Government took the effort to visit the State to keep track over the progress of the work. It is worthy to mention that where to set up Metre Gauge Train in Tripura it took several years under the regime of NDA Government within one year Tripura got Broad Gauge Train service.

Besides, Congress also expressed disappointment over the proposed Railway Budget of 2016 by Suresh Prabhu saying that Centre has neglected Tripura by not providing any fund and infrastructure to Tripura.
