AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): International Association of Lions Clubs District 322D on Saturday has organized a 37th Annual District Conference at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan.
During the programme, public speaking contest and RC/ ZC/ PCT Evaluation have been organized. Besides, a plenary session has also been organized where reports on rules and procedures, reports on DFF, Annual District reports, financial reports of the district cabinet treasurer has been placed.
Besides, adoption of audit account for the L/Y 2014-2015 has been produced.
However, at the second plenary session reports of Nomination Committee, reports of credential committee, and reports of rules and procedure of election committee has also been placed.
It is to be mentioned here that Lions District 322D covers seven north-eastern States of India. It came into existence following bifurcation of district 322-B in 1979-80.
However, the new district of 322-D included certain areas of West Bengal, which were later reverted to district 322-B and with the new district 322-C comprising mostly of the State of Orissa from district 322-B.
Later, new district of 322-D formed with 46 clubs and with a total membership of 2206 members.
District 322-D was once again divided in 2000-01 and the areas comprising of Sikkim, revenue district of Malda, West Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling and Coochbehar and Country of Bhutan were separated as district 322-F and the rest of the areas of seven states remained in district 322-D.
However, during the conclusion programme reports of constitution and bye laws, reports of the resolution committee, reports of the election committee has been presented. Besides, announcement of results of parade and others has been presented.
However, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has inaugurated the programme in the presence of the officials of International Association of Lions Clubs District 322D and others.
