AGARTALA, Feb 19 (TIWN): Condemning over an incident where miscreants has pasted cow dung over the hoarding of Prime Minister Modi and BJP President Amit Shah at Kamalpur, Bharatiya Janta Party of the State on Friday stated that a strict action must be taken by the police over the incident.
During the press conference at the BJP party office, it has been mentioned that pasting cow dung or doing any kind of misdeed with the hoardings and other things is a criminal offence.
Mentioning about the incident, Chairperson of BJP Media Cell Arun Kanti Bhowmik stated that after the incident spoiling the hoarding of BJP when came to the notice of the supporters, a FIR has been launched on February 17 at Kamalpur Police Station.
He further mentioned that though the FIR has been launched but no copy of FIR has been given to the party. Finally, after the party members thronged in to police station and started to pressurise the Kamalpur police, the finally got the FIR.
Besides, Bhowmik also mentioned that any kind of misdeed with the hoardings and any things of any party is a criminal offence.
He further mentioned that though FIR has been launched but the Kamalpur police are least bothered to do any kind of investigation about the incident and arrest the culprit.
It seems like the Kamalpur police has an under table relationship with the ruling party therefore no initiatives are being taken to find out the culprit.
Besides, the party also condemns over the JNU incident.
During the press conference it has been mentioned that among fourteen Mandals, mass demonstration has been organized in ten mandals and in the coming days mass demonstration is also expected to observe at rest four mandals.
