AGARTALA, Feb 19 (TIWN) :Although it was claimed by Tripura State Govt. that Raiilway service will begin from March 31, 2016, but observing the slow working progress of Dharmanagar railway station, question arises whether the work will be completed in successive time period or not. Talking to aSite engineer at Dharmanagar Railway station, as he said , “Atleast 2-3 months more needed to finish the BG conversion work as presently the filing work is going on at railway platform. Question has also been raised aboutthe quality of railway platforms. The filling work which is going on at that station seems of poor quality. Due to lack of proper observation the working quality has become low, said multiple sources onsite. Moreover, the signboard of “Link Failure” hanging before the counter is creating problems for the common people from booking railway tickets as BSNL connectivity always down. Moreover, many parts of the Dharmanagar railway station, which were constructed long back ,tracks are suffering from lack of maintenance, and emploees, authorites have no concern about the determining condition.Ticket-Reservation has been stopped at Dharmanagar rail station, from where, earlier, people reserved their tickets.

Many people have to reserve ticket from Guwahati to other places of the country or other town of Tripura.

But due to the unavailability of reservation service people are facing much difficulties in this region.

Asking about the cause, a station employee told TIWN that due to BSNL’s link down since 2 moths, this reservation service has been stopped. However, this problem will be solved very soon, as they have let the BSNL know about this outage.

Once the railway station construction completed, then the stations towards Assam will be like this line-up Dharmanagar Railway station---Churaibari------Hailakandi(Assam).

However, the rail-stations from Agartalato Assam via Dharmanagar will be sequenced like that Agartala---Yogendra Nagar----Jirania-------Teliamura--------Ambasa----Manu—Kumarghat----Pecharthal---Panisagar---Dharmanagar---Churaibari---Assam’s Churaibari.

With all these developments, Tripura is eagerly waiting for the completion for station’s construction work, so that BG transport will become affordable transport than other means.
