AGARTALA, Feb 19 (TIWN): With an aim to meet the need of the State’s public of 12 LPG cylinders in a year initiatives are going on over the establishment of the new gas bottling plant.
Talking to TIWN correspondent, official of Food Department on Thursday said that demarcation of the land has been done at the industrial sector of Bodhjung Nagar.
Besides, he also mentioned that letters for permission from the higher authority for the installation of the bottling plant has already been sent. After the officials get the permission within no time the work for the establishment of the gas bottling plant will be started.
It is to be mentioned here that the IOC wants to establish the mega gas bottling plant by next two years. If the plant is operational, it will produce 200 trucks LPG per day.
It seems like with the establishment of the bottling plant at Budhjungnagar, the prolonged problem of LPG cooking gas crisis faced by the common mass may end.
However, once the new gas bottling plant is operational, it will be able to supply refilled LPG cylinder to outside the state also, said sources.
Although Bishalgarh gas bottling plant where 20/22 trucks LPG cylinders per day gets refilled against its installed capacity of 18 bullets, still it fails to meet the need of the people.
However, to meet the need of the State’s public of 12 LPG cylinder a boost is required which can be fulfilled after the establishment of the new gas bottling plant.
Besides, IOC is planning to install an oil depot at Shekerkut. On the other hand, earlier the State Government has demanded to IOC to provide 24 wagons.
However, establishment of the new Gas Bottling Plant at Bodhjungnagar Industrial Estate in Jirania subdivision can bring some relief in the state regarding the rising crisis of the LPG cooking gas cylinders.
However, until and unless the new Gas Bottling Plant is established in the state it will be very hard to end the rising crisis of the LPG cooking gas cylinder in the state.
