AGARTALA/UDAIPUR, Feb18 (TIWN): In allegation of stealing 14 computers from a school under Gandacharra sub-division, Gandacharra police on Wednesday late night arrested four wanted thieves from their resident under Gandacharra sub-division.

All together 14 new computers are being stolen from Ganadacharra jagabandhu para HS school.  However, a mystery goes around as the lock of the door was opened and altogether 14 computers were stolen from the school building.

However, acting on a tip off police on Wednesday late night arrested the accused from their residents of Raishyabari, Haripur and Narayanpur. The accused are identified as Juten Reang, Subrata Sarkar, Elu Jamatia, and Ajay Tripura.

Reportedly, the issue of theft case came forward when on Tuesday the guard of the building opened the gate of the school building for installing some computer systems in the building. When the guard opened the door he discovered that the computers are missing from the school.

Getting alarm, Assistant Head Mistress Sanna Chakma to the spot and also informed the Gandacharra police.

Following the complaint,   Gandacharra police station OC Babul Das along with SDPO Gamanjoy Reang and others reached the spot and investigated the building of the area.

A police official said that the building robbery took place under the cover of darkness. Taking advantage of the darkness, the robbers executed their plan and stolen the computers. The official further said that the heist was a well thought out plan as the robbers came equipped with all the tools required to carry out the robbery.

However, the accused were produced before the court on Thursday and police is further investigating the case.
