AGARTALA, Feb 17 (TIWN): Tripura police on Wednesday produced the accused of Dukli dual murder before the court demanding for jail custody after completion of five days of Police remand.

It is to be mentioned here that police on February 14 recovered the knife used by the accused for murdering the mother (Gouri Chakraborty) and son (Debabrata Chakraborty).

Reportedly, Tripura police on Wednesday produced both the accused of dual murder before the court demanding for jail custody.

During the investigation tenure, Tripura police visited the spot investigated the area.

It is to be mentioned here that altogether there were three accused involved in the incident, one has somehow managed to flee from the spot and is yet absconding.

According to the reports, the body of Gouri Chakraborty (Mother) has been recovered from her residence and the body of her son (Debabrata Chakraborty) has been recovered from a pond which is 200 metre away from their residence.

Reportedly, the head of Debabrata Chakraborty recovered chopped from his body. It is suspected that both the family members were murdered over looting the commodities from their house.

However, the accused has accepted their crime and also demonstrated about how they have done killed both the deceased.

However, on the day of incident police rushed to the spot and started with the investigation. However, Tripura police though the Tripura police have successfully arrested the two accused but investigation is going on to arrest the third culprit.
