AGARTALA, Feb 17 (TIWN): Although few schools in town areas of the state are filled with large number of teachers, but all the Govt. schools in rural areas are deprived of basic facilities. Rural schools are lacking teachers, lacking basic facilities, and the standard of education is beyond imagination. Thus to be born in rural areas of Tripura in the 'golden era of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar', has become a matter of curse for the children of Tripura. Although during the election time, helicopter hopper Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and his Cabinet Ministers confidently chant songs of development in rural areas but if one takes a journey to visit the govt. schools of rural areas, the truth will be exposed. Former Tripura Governor P.B.Achariya was quite active in inspecting rural schools on sudden visits and unplanned helicopter landings in States hilly areas but present Governor Tathagata Roy yet to take up such fact finding missions. Tripura people expect Governor Tathagata Roy to be more proactive and spend more time taking stock of living conditions of Tripura people rather than sitting in Raj Bhavan and tweeting on Bengal or National politics. Although TET Exam was held in Tripura for the first time to appoint more number of teachers in last December, but reportedly not even 15 percent of the candidates could pass in the exam. As a result, the crisis of teacher still prevails in Tripura.

Govt. school students in rural Tripura suffer from various crisis from insects, rat filled mid-day meals to polluted drinking water but ‘Teacher Crisis’ is the most hard-hitting.

Maximum times, classes remain without teacher. Moreover, the teachers who are employed at rural schools often remain absent and the authority has no concerns about it.

It’s to be mentioned here that rural areas students are unable to receive education due to the lack of teachers’ activeness.

Thus schools at there has remained as a matter for coming & going for students. No quality education is provided so far.

The state govt. should immediately fill up the vacancies of teachers, so that there would be enough number of teachers in  rural Tripura.

Even though Modi Govt is dynamic and the most of central ministers, but a fat, obese person in Governor's post cannot do justice to Governor's role anywhere.

Manik Sarkar Govt reeling under heavy corruption and inefficiency in every govt deptartment but States opoosition Congress to Governor all keeping quiet for mysterious reasons.

In the absence of effective opposition or an active Governor, who will listen the cry of Tripura's lakhs of school children in rural areas ?
