AMARPUR, Feb 15 (TIWN) : Security has been beefed up at Amarpur for vote counting on Febuary 16. The strong room has been set at Amarpur Higher Secondary School.

Centering the school, tight security has been provided at Amarpur subdivision, under Gomati District.

For the election purpose 5 companies of security had already arranged at there. Among them 3 companies of BSF & 2 CRPF have been set.

However, talking to the police official of Amarpur said that ,no chances of any unwanted event is there at the subdivision. Police force at Amarpur is just all ready to secure the whole area, said official.

It’s to be mentioned here that this Assembly election, which held on Feb 13 was unexpected in 2016. It happened after the ruling party had expelled its one of the MLAs, after allegations came against him for raping a minor girl at Amarpur.

The MLA of Amarpur is namely Manoranjan Acharjee, who was one time arrested for the rape-allegations brought against him.

After the allegations brought against Manoranjan Acharjee, turmoil had been created among the opposition  parties. But then already CPM had expelled him. In his comment over the arrest of Manoranjan Acharjee, CPM party secretary Bijan Dhar said that party’s duty is not to deal with the arrest issue, rather it’s the work of the police. As a part of the duty CPM has already outcast Acharjee for the allegations brought against him.

In the Assembly 2016, the matter was raised again and again and situation often got out of control when oppositions stressed the matter.

However, all the parties took the bi-election of Amarpur very seriously and everyone tried their best to gather the votes for own party. Chief Minister himself urged the people of Amarpur to “vote for CPM”. BJP also took their National leader Sunil Deodhar along with the newly elected state president Biplab Deb.

But it will be after 1 day that the fate of the each parties will be decided as the vote counting will be held on that day.
