AGARTALA, Feb 14 (TIWN): As a part of the investigation, police on Sunday recovered the knife used in the dual murder case of mother and son at East Dukli. Tripura police also visited the spot and investigated about the dual murder of mother (Gouri Chakranorty) and son (Debabrata Chakraborty).

Reportedly, while investigation police on Sunday reciovered the knife from the house of the accused Rupan Das used in the murder case. However, police also recovered a pot full of coins from the pond adjacent to the house of Dulal Chakraborty.

However, from the spot the police have recovered glass of wine and packets of snacks. According to the reports, both the accused namely Rupan Das and another who is a resident of Bangladesh Dulal Chakraborty has accepted their crime. The accused mentioned that altogether they were three persons are involved in the murder case. Besides, the accused has also demonstrated how they have murdered deceased Debabrata Chakraborty. Besides, another accused is yet absconding.

It is suspected that the three accused has murdered due to the temptation of the property.

It is to be mentioned here that the incident took place on early morning of February 9 at East Dukli.

According to the reports, the body of Gouri Chakraborty (Mother) has been recovered from her residence and the body of her son (Debabrata Chakraborty) has been recovered from a pond which is 200 metre away from their residence.

Reportedly, the head of Debabrata Chakraborty recovered chopped from his body. It is suspected that both the family members were murdered over looting the commodities from their house.

However, on the day of incident police rushed to the spot and started with the investigation. However, Tripura police though the Tripura police have successfully arrested the two accused but investigation is going on to arrest the third culprit.

However, if we go through the reports, the capital has virtually became a dumping ground for bodies. Reports of the unidentified dead bodies have become a daily feed for the news papers and the channels in the so called Golden era of the left rule government.

Day after day dead bodies are being recovered from several parts of Agartala city and police is silent over this issue. It appears that the duty of police is so far limited to report the murder case and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Apart from taking any strict action police is busy in making tall claims in front of the public and fool people around.
