AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN) : Festivals & celebrations now-a-days have lost their real values in state with the increasing number of lunatic young drivers leading accidents in Tripura.

On the night of Saraswati Puja, 3 youths during their reckless driving held a tragic accident in the capital city. The youths are now fighting for life at GB hospital Agartala.

According to the sources, 2 boys and a girl during the eve of Saraswati puja were driving in high speed at Barjala, Airport road in Agartala. The bike was on the way to the airport road that an auto suddenly came infront of them and due to the high speed, the driver loosed controlled over the bike and fall on the ground.

The 3 persons have been identified as Rajat Das, Suman Dey and Pinshu pal. Among them the girl namely Pingsu Pal’s condition is very critical. Presently 3 of them are admitted to GB hospital.

The incident occurred at 9.30 pm on Friday.

It’s to be mentioned here that reckless driving and driving without helmet, as well as over loading have become a common issue here in the state. The young boys and girls are the highest victim of such incidents.

During festival times such incidents occurs more.

Festivity have now a days have lost its real charm, rather it has turned as scopes for the undisciplined youths to continue their ill-behaviour across the state. Festival has remained as one of the terrors as it increases the chances of accidents.

Driving in drunken condition is very common here. Strict action should be taken by police in this regard to stop such incidents. But it has been seen that before the traffic police, people are roaming without helmets, by overloading their vehicles. But police is less bothered about it.

The roadways, however, sometimes are proving as dangerous especially during festival seasons.

Such dangerous driving not only risks the drivers’ lives but the pedestrians also remain in high risk due to this.

However uncontrolled speed during festivals would be taken very seriously and action must be taken to decrease such unwanted incidents.
