AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN) : On the alliance controversy CPM Polit bureau members and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar are busy in attending West Bengal state Committee meeting along with Prakash Karat and other senior leaders of Party. The tie-up issue of West Bengal pushed the entire Party into a jolt within the party. South lobby of CPM led by party hardliner Karat and ESR Pillai referred the decision of Party Congress and stood against any tie-up with Congress in anywhere. Bengal leaders of CPM initiated the tie-up approach with the help of some Congress leaders against the ruling Trinamool Congress in the Assembly Election. On contrary Congress ranks from Kerala and Tripura oppose the move and knocked the door of High Command to mount pressure on those leaders of Bengal who actually carried the proposal forward to Delhi. By maintaining its own characteristics, Tripura CPM till today kept mum on this issue but its rank and file are watching the situation keenly. CPM Central committee called three days emergency meeting on 16th of February to address the whole situation. The leaders of several states would discuss the matter over the resolution and recommendation sent by state committees.
