Rose Valley 'Cheat' Fund former agent Minister Bijita Nath brings shame to Minister's post : called R-Day as I-Day

AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): Bharatiya Janta Party of the State on Tuesday condemned over the issue of terming ‘Republic Day as Independence Day’ by the State’s Science, Technology and Environment Minister Bijita Nath while addressing the program held at Dharmanagar on the occasion of Republic Day celebration. It is to be mentioned here that Science, Technology and Environment Minister Bijita Nath has termed Republic Day as Independence Day while addressing the mass at Dharmanagar. Reacting over the issue, state Bharatiya Janta Party wing on Tuesday expressed that the so-called Science, Technology and Environment Minister Bijita Nath does not know the difference between Independence Day and Republic Day. Besides, the party also demanded that Minister Bijita Nath should apologise for the blunder mistake she made on the occasion of Republic Day when the nation pays honour to the Constitution of the Country. The members also claimed that the Minister must seek apology keeping in mind the dignity of her current position.

Reacting over the issues, the BJP also stated that the so-called Minister had made the blunder mistake due to Rose valley Phobia, it is quite impossible to remain calm and cool.

The blunder mistake has put up a question over the ability of a Minister under Manik’s regime, where a Minister of Science, Technology and Environment termed Republic Day as Independence Day.

However, it is to be mentioned here that the day is being celebrated to pay honour to the constitution of the Country which was enforced on January 26, 1950 but Minister Bijita Nath’s speech has turned up a controversy and has put a shame on the face of the state.

Along with the opposition parties the electronic and web media abuzz with the issue of Science, Technology and Environment Minister Bijita Nath terming ‘Republic Day as Independence Day’ while addressing the mass at Dharmanagar.

However, the major mistake while delivering speech even by reciting from the script by Minister Bijita Nath has sparked controversy at the political level as well as among the common mass.

It is to be mentioned here that India declared to be a Sovereign, Democratic and Republic state with the adoption of the Constitution on January 26, 1950.

A salute of 21 guns and the unfurling of the Indian National Flag by Dr. Rajendra Prasad heralded the historic birth of the Indian Republic on that day.

The main programme in the State has been observed at the ground of Assam Rifles and is being inaugurated by Governor Tathagata Roy.

It is to be mentioned here that the main function of the celebration of the 67th Republic Day has been observed at the Rajpath. French President Francois Hollande is the chief guest at the Republic Day parade. India's military prowess and the country's diverse cultural heritage were on display at the 67th Republic Day parade.
