AGARTALA, Jan 22 (TIWN): Although the state government during Assembly-2016 had claimed that they will file case in Supreme Court against the triple murder accused Sushil Chowdhury but so far there is no development in the case. It is to be mentioned here that in a question raised by the opposition MLA Asish Kumar Saha, during the winter session of Tripura assembly, Home minister Manik Sarkar replied that the state government is willing to move the case to the Supreme Court but even after passage of couple of days no progress in seen in the matter. With allegations raised by the opposition regarding the misappropriation of judgement against the murder case, MLA Asish Saha raised the issue and under the pressure of the opposition the state government had decided to forward the case in Supreme Court. With zero updates in the case, it appears that might be it was said for the namesake that the case will be tabled before the Supreme Court. However, time will speak when the state government will file case against Sushil Chowdhury in SC. Tripura High court has released the Dainik Ganadoot editor-cum-owner Sushil Choudhury acquitted who was alleged as the sole accused in the murder of three employees on the premises of the Bengali daily in Agartala on May 19.A HC division bench released Sushil Choudhury who was sentenced to life imprisonment for his involvement in murder of his three employees 14 months ago.

Allegedly, Police failed to put up any appealing evidence against the accused, the prime accused sushil choudhury was released from jail. After carrying out in-depth investigation, Investigating Officer Manas Paul had submitted a 562-page charge sheet accusing Sushil Chowdhury for the gruesome incident before the Addl District and Sessions court. However, failing to prove any allegation against the accused the court has released him from jail.

The high court division bench of Justice Subhasis Talapatra released Sushil Chowdhury from jail who was sent to life term imprisonment by the lower court.

The loopholes in the police investigation are solely responsible for this and lack of evidence against the accused should be blame.  The line of difference between the judgement of the lower court and high court has successfully managed to release susil acquitted from the jail.

Tripura Police massive failure to prosecute triple murderer accused Ganadoot Editor Sushil Choudhury resulting HC found Sushil non-guilty and released him from prison acquitted.

It is worthy to mention here that on 2013, 19th May driver Balaram Ghosh, proof reader Sujit Choudhury, and manager Ranjit Choudhury were murdered in broad daylight at 3 PM inside the newspaper office. On 14 July, 2014, the lower court found him to be involved in this murder and named him the prime accused. On 17 July, 2014 the court sentenced him to life term imprisonment in this murder case. But the high court reversed the order and acquitted him and found many loopholes in the prosecution act, but what remains behind is the unsolved mystery of the murder case.
