Minimum temperature to hover around 11 Degree Celsius, predicts Met Dept.

AGARTALA, Jan 21 (TIWN): Mentioning about the weather forecast officials of meteorology department on Wednesday said that there will be partly cloudy in the sky with minimum temperature 11 degree Celsius.

Talking to TIWN correspondent on Wednesday, the official of meteorology department said that there is expectation of fog and mist. Besides, the sky will be partly cloudy.

He also mentioned that the Maximum temperature will be 26 degree Celsius and the minimum will be 11 degree Celsius.

Mentioning about the Wednesday’s temperature he said that the maximum temperature will be 23.2 degree Celsius and the minimum is predicted 15.3 degree Celsius.

Officials of meteorology department predicted that though there will not be major fall in the temperature this winter but there are chances of rainfall.

Besides, he also mentioned that there are chances to rain in all the districts and in the interior parts of the State.

It is to be mentioned here that during past few days, Tripura got slightly relieved from the shivering cold in the state as the minimum temperature kept on hovering around 11 Degree Celsius.

Mostly during the winter season, life observed crippled across the state because of the chill and attendance seem to get poor in most schools and government offices. The streets wore a deserted look and business establishments were closed.

Tripura had recorded its lowest temperature in winter at 2° C in 1972.

However, with the slight rain earlier the farmers have chopped down the vegetables specially the cabbages and cauliflowers. According to the famers, after rain vegetables are hit by insects and ruin the whole cultivation.

However, generally, in Tripura winter starts from November. This year it has started from the month of December. On the other hand, it is observed that compare to other year this year the fall in the temperature was not much.
