Tripura Assembly to end after 5 days of ruckus on Thursday

AGARTALA, Jan 14(TIWN): The five-day winter session of Tripura Assembly to come to an abrupt end on Thursday as the House witnessed “acrimonious” scenes prompting speaker of the assembly to end the assembly on an abrupt note.

The five day winter session of Tripura assembly have witnessed a ruckus with opposition and the ruling getting engaged into a scuffle, followed by the suspension of assembly, including protesting in the well, raising allegation against the speakers, accusing the speaker of the assembly to share biased comments and many more things.

Governor of Tripura Tathagata Roy kicked off the winter session of the State Assembly on Friday at 11 a.m. at State Assembly House of Capital Complex.

As per the regulation the first day of the session began with the speech of Governor Tathagata Roy.

The assembly session continued for five days which began from January 8 and continued till January 14 except the Saturdays and the Sundays.  The winter session of the assembly tabled vote-on-account and place a new bill-‘Indian system of Medicine-2016.

It is to be mentioned here that this session was the first session of the current year.

However, after series of drama, hue and cry the winter session of Tripura assembly to end after five days.
