Tripura Assembly witnessed ugly scene over police action on ex- MLA: CM Manik Sarkar lost control as sins catching up : urgent meeting held at Melarmath CPI-M HQ

AGARTALA, Jan 14 (TIWN): Monaranjan Acharjee issue has once again disrupted the proceedings of Tripura assembly. Demanding discussion on the matter, the opposition leaders raised slogans against the ruling party and alleged that government is not taking action and it was just a eyewash. Afterwards, the opposition members rushed to the well of the house and raised anti government slogans and anti Manik slogan. Moreover they also raised question why CM’s chair is different from other chair.Ruling party MLAs to rushed to the well and situation suddenly disrupt with this behavior of opposition.CM Manik Sarkar lost control and try to solve the situation and keep himself out from the situation from camera and try to intervene who tried to pacify his MLAs. Manik Sarkar blessed CPI-M MLA Manoranjan Acharjee was recently arrested and then released on bail, allegedly for molesting a minor girl. As the situation was going out of control, speaker Ramendra Debnath adjourned the house. CPI-M MLA Manarajan Acharjee issue force Manik for an urgent meeting tonight at Melarmath Party office. Members of opposition and treasury benches, including Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, engaged in heated altercation in the well even after adjournment of the House.

Beside CM Manik,Bijan Dhar,Minister Ratan Bhowmik,Gomati Zilla CPIM Party secretary MLA Madhab Saha and other Amarpur CPIM Party members were in the crucial meeting on wednesday night.Tripura Assembly today witnessed uproar over police action against former CPI-M MLA Manarajan Acharjee accused of molestation charge that forced the Speaker Ramendra Chandrato adjourn the House for 10 minutes.

Opposition members alleged that two ministers – Transport minister Manik Dey and Forest Minister Naresh Jamatia - and couple of CPI-M MLAs abused the Congress legislators and threatened to kill them outside the House.
