AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN):Tripura is all set to create a history as the BG rail-head has already set off its journey from Agartala to Badapur on Wednesday. Putting an end to the long wait of the people, the people of Tripura will see the entry of the BG Railhead at Agartala Railway station for the first time on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) was directly supervising the new India-Bangladesh railway project in Tripura, Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha said here on Tuesday
With the aim to conduct trial run of the passenger train to Agartala on January 13 at the Agartala railway station preparation is on the peak. Workers are engaged in decorating the passenger train at Jogendranagar Railway station in the evening as it is scheduled to run the passenger train on January 13.The work has gained momentum and the track laying work is almost completed and the trial run of the engine will be done on January 13. It is to be mentioned here that Manoj Sinha Minister of State for Railways, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, Transport Minister Manik Dey to receive the BG train along with the train coach on January 13 at Agartala Railway station.
Along with the BG conversion work the authorities are also concentrating on the issue to set up a modern railway station as it will cater huge number of trains in the state.
