AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): An Non-Governmental Organization namely My Home India on Saturday launched its branch at Agartala Press Club.
Speaking at the Press Conference, Amit Rakhik said that the NGO has been working with special focus on North-East India since the beginning of the organization. The organization includes awareness programs about the north east region extensively in rest of the country by way of power point, poster presentations which in turn facilitates positive communication.
It has been mentioned that the main focus of the organization is to integrate the people of the region all across the nation. They also operate help lines for assisting the students, patients and others when they are in need in the rest of the country.
Detailing about the child welfare activities, it has been mentioned that due to relentless effort over the child welfare activities the NGO has been recognized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. Besides, it has been mentioned that the organization has successfully reunited about 700 children with their families.
Mentioning about the project ‘Sapno Se Apano Tak’ launched in 2014, it has been said that the project involves interaction with child, collecting information and tracing their families all over India, helping family in securing releases order and taking custody of children, awareness session about root causes of displacement of children to nip this problem in bud and others.
However, the main aim of the organization to provide aid to the needy poor, elderly, and disabled, senior citizens such as legal aid, health services and government policies, to create the means for providing medical assistance to the people suffering from diseases, especially for poor helpless people.
Besides, to provide needy migrant patients with the information such as the best facility for treatment, likely cost thereof, availability of lodging/ boarding etc.
