AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): In the five-day long Winter Session of the Tripura Assembly begun on Friday, MLA Jitendra Sarkar placed urged that State Government to take initiative for the investors who had been financially hit after the chit fund scam came in to lime light. Urging to take initiatives for the investors who had lost their money and facing huge financial crisis, MLA Jitendra Sarkar on Fridaydemanded the state government to take initiatives to return back the money to the needy investors. It is to be mentioned here that the chit fund scam has left many investor in huge dilemma. Many poor families have also invested their money and as the chit fund companies have eloped the needy families are is huge crisis. Besides, MLA Haricharan Sarkar has placed demand to allot more fund to the State Government from the central for development in the State.It has been mentioned that due to the cut in the allotment of state’s fund the state lacks various developmental work. During the assembly it has been mentioned that according to the reports of the financial year 2014-2015 a total of Rs. 2477.91 crore has been allotted to the State but during the financial year 2015-2016 the fund has been deducted.Therefore, he urged to increase the allotment of fund to the state so that it can be used for the development of the State. However, the first day of the assembly begins with the speech of Governor Tathagata Roy at State Assembly House of Capital Complex.
The assembly session will continue for five days, except Saturday and Sunday from January 8 till January 14. It is expected that the assembly will table vote-on-account and place a new bill-Indian system of Medicine-2016.
